| | | Fun, competitive player seeking talented soccer team | by Stevi Bratschie on 9/6/2010
Hello,
I am a 24 year old graduate student who is looking for a competitive yet fun soccer team for this Fall. I played Varsity throughout high school, club in college and intramural soccer the past 3 years on co-ed and women's teams, both indoor and outdoor. I can play any position, I would just love to continue playing soccer as soon as possible! Thanks for any replies and help finding a team!

| | | Looking to join a team Fall 2010 | by Claire Woods on 9/5/2010
Hello,
I am a 25 year old law student and I recently moved to Washington DC. I'd love to find a team that is really fun but also wants to work hard and win. I played varsity soccer in highschool and intramural soccer in college. Since college I've stayed in great shape by cycling and running marathons. I played as a midfielder and occasionally a keeper, but I'm very versitile and I'd be willing to play any position. I'm ideally looking for a first division or second division team. Please let me know if you have space for me, or if you know of any other teams that are accepting players.
Thanks,
Claire Woods

I'm looking to join a first, second, or third division team. I started playing when I was 8 years old and did travel soccer around middle school. I ran cross country and played in rec leagues during high school, and I've played in various rec leagues since then. I prefer defense or midfield.
Thanks! Really want to find a fun DC area team for the fall.

| | | Looking for a team to play in the fall 2010 | by Alicia Antayhua on 7/26/2010
Hi.
I just moved back to D.C and started working in DC so I'm looking for a team. I'm 27 and played competitively all through high school (on high school and club teams since age 12). I didn't play in college but I am a dedicated runner and looking to start playing soccer again. Generally play defense or midfield.
Please contact me if you have any openings on your team.

Played from ages 5 to 18. Former mvp on high school team, but haven't played much since. Regularly run 15-20 miles per week, so I am in decent cardio shape. Looking for a recreational team who needs an occasional player and who can be patient with someone who needs to "get my legs back under me." Live in Upper Northwest DC. | 39 yo female seeking to play occasionally

I'm a 25 year old looking to join a team this summer or whenever possible. I played competitively through high school and a little intramural in college. I played sweeper and center mid, but can play any position. I'm probably a little rusty after all these years, but I'm sure it'll come back to me. :-) Please contact me if you have a space for me. Thanks! ~Melissa

| | | looking for a summer team! | by Jenn Whitehead on 3/29/2010
Hi!
My name is Jenn, I'm 20 and I played soccer all through high school-- now in college I miss it like crazy! I'd love to play this summer, any level of competitiveness. I think I'm best playing on the left, forward or midfield, but I'd be happy playing anywhere.
Also my friend Emiley is 21 and an awesome midfielder (we played in high school together) so if a team wants to recruit both of us that'd be amazing! :) My email is jwhite81@jhu.edu
Thanks!
Jenn

Good Ways to Use the Exchange
Lost and Found: If you lost or found an item at the field, please post a message here to get the item back to its owner.
Finding a Player or Team for a Tournament: If you're trying to form a team for a tournament or looking for a tournament team, you can post a message here.
Finding a Player or Team for the SUMMER SEASON ONLY: If you're a team rep that needs more players for the summer season, or a new player looking for a summer team, you can post here. For the spring and fall seasons, follow directions below.
Remember to DELETE your post if you've found what you were looking for.
Bad Ways to Use the Exchange
If you're a new player looking to join a team during the fall or spring season, you should go to our "How to Join" page and fill out the New Player Form in order to be placed on a team. We have a formal recruitment procedure during the fall and spring and find that it complicates player placement to have players post ads AND fill out our New Player Form. Please only post here to find a team during the summer season or for a tournament.
If you are a team rep looking for players during the fall or spring season, send an email to our new player coordinators at newplayers@wawsl.org and let them know which team and division you are on, how many players you need, and which position(s). Once again, it complicates player placement if you advertise here for players during the fall or spring. Please only post for players during the summer season or for tournaments.
